Leone-after you finish lunching at Stella's, stop by the Sheraton Suites in Old Town. They're asking for donations of bread, peanut butter and jelly and bottled water for the Pentagon rescue workers.

Thanks, Ann, I'll be in Old Town tonight ... I'll drop by and leave a cash donation for water. My cardiologist would kill me if she ever caught me with peanut butter on my person. She thinks it meakes sense to keep me around a bit longer ... I tell her there might be one or two on Fodors who might offer an alternate opinion. Diversity makes us great, n'est-ce pas? Leone, <BR> <BR>My Uncle "PB" lived a long, long life eating a lot of peanut butter. Always had a jar around. There is also a new "trendy" peanut butter diet. <BR> <BR>This week proves that life is way too short to not enjoy peanut butter (and ice cream, and chocolate, and . . .)

Just heard from the Sheraton that they are no longer accepting donations there--guess they got overwhelmed. The Salvation Army on Glebe Road is, though (I'm assuming it's the one at Glebe and Route 50, near Ballston).
