DC trip-suite hotels near metro
 

Can anyone recommend any reasonably price suite hotels on/near a metro line in the DC area(downtown,MD, or VA). A friend is traveling w/ her Husband, 2 kids + a friend for one of the children so they'd like to have some type of division between the rooms.

"Virginia Suites" in Arlington, near Rosslyn Metro stop. 1500 Arlington Blvd, I think.

Anyway, they got good reviews a few years ago. They'd be a bit of a hike to the Metro stop, but had free shuttles both to the Metro and to a grocery store.

Doubletree Suites in Foggy Bottom is just what she's looking for. Stayed there last summer and would stay there again.

Another choice would be <b>Capitol Hill Suites</b> - one block walk to Capitol South Metro which is on the Blue/Orange line, three block walk to the Capitol Bldg, six block walk to the Mall.

You can't get any closer to the Metro than the Embassy Suites in Chevy Chase, which is literally on top of the Friendship Heights Metro station. The Alexandria ES is across hte street from th eMetro. But we stayed at the ES in Crystal City and found hte Metro quite a hike.

Embassy Suites in Alexandria, across from the King St. Station. Also, the Residence Inn in Alexandria, about 3 blocks from the King St. Station.

Washington Suites Georgetown (not really Georgetown) has 1-2 bedroom suites with full kitchen and living room with sleep sofa. It is about 3 blocks from Foggy Bottom stop.
