DC Monuments at Night-Old Town Trolley or Greyline

Reposting to clarify city.

I can't decide which one. I would appreciate any feedback from anyone who has taken one of these tours of the Washington, DC monuments at night. Thanks in advance!

We planned to take one of the "monuments at night" tours last fall while visiting DC. But after studying the map, my husband decided to play tour guide himself. It was great decision! The traffic wasn't a problem at all. We saw everything we wanted to see,(some twice), stayed as long as we wanted, and left when we were ready. The Jefferson Memorial at night was our favorite site. And with the money we saved, we enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Blackie's.

Yes we recently came back from DC,
for the night tour, we asked a taxi we previously took for short ride how much we would charge us. He said
$25 for a full hour. He arrived punctually at 9 PM to our hotel, and in one hour, he drove us a lot. From the Capitol, Mall, Lincoln, Jefferson, Washington, Penn Ave, Kennedy Center, a long drive in Georgetown,
the river shore, etc.etcWe enjoyed it paid much less than the tour, being two persons in the taxi, and had de luxury to be brought back to the hotel.

I did do the Washington at Night tour a couple of years ago. It was the first time I had been to DC and I thought the tour was great. I had never even thought of hiring a taxi driver to give us the same (yet personalized) tour. If you can do that, you should. If not, I would recommend the night tour. The memorials look so nice when they are all lit up.

Oh didn't realize you asked which tour. I am pretty sure we did the Greyline tour.
