Find a booking you can live with . . . then try Priceline. If it works great, if not stay with the fallback.
My guess is most places will work with you to put your rooms together. The MC Marriott for $60 is a great deal, BTW. |
We too are going that time of year. I founde the Jury's Washington at Dupont Circle for $99.00 per night. The rooms have 2 double beds but no breakfast included. The rate was found on the hotel web site.

Check expedia for those dates, select a few hotels under $180 and post back for further advice. We can then help you in the final selection.
I agree with lisatravels about checking around the King St metro. Those hotels are often substantially less than those in DC. |
Since they will have their own car, they will also need parking. So what you are really looking for is a hotel-plus-parking for $180 plus whatever is reasonable or average for parking -- which can be $20 to $30 per ight in downtown DC, bringing their nightly tottal to $200 or more. So for any hotel that you're seriously considering, be sure to check on the parking fees and options. We stayed at an Embassy Suites that offered free parking for AAA members, so you might check on the ES in Alexandria and Friendship Heights -- they're handy to Metro stops. Also, be aware that some hotels have markedly different rates on weekends versus weekdays.

Thanks again all. I've given the family all this info.
p.s. - Jury's comes up $275.00 per night. That's $344 of OUR money!! |
The Holiday Inn in Rosslyn, while not terribly fancy, has free parking and when we were there last April, if you joined the Holiday Inn frequent traveler program (Priority Rewards), you also got a free full breakfast. It's a block to the metro station and about a 10 minute metro ride to the mall. We found it clean, convenient and would stay there again.
