Daytona Beach Shores-Pelican Shoals or Manatee Suites?

We stayed at the Pelican Shoals the summer of 1998. It was okay - nothing to write home about. My husband thought it was a little dumpy, but I've seen dumpier. It's just a little mom-and-pop place. We had their largest unit - a 2 bedroom apartment. But it overlooked AIA, not the beach. The pool area was okay, but the pool water tasted like salt. They don't offer any extras like a restaurant, bar, game room, fitness room or continental breakfast. Daytona has much nicer places - I'd keep looking if I were you.
