Haven't stayed there, but it is very striking and looks really nice. About as central as you can get.
It's sort of a paradox though. People who desire a hotel of this caliber generally would not choose to stay in downtown Daytona Beach. But hey, we had a great time.

Hi Barbara,
We have stayed there for the last 4-5 years for a vacation. It is a very nice, classy, and well maintained hotel. It is conveniently located, has entertainment at the pool, a poolside snack/bar, 4 restaurants, right by the pier that has a small inside/outdoor restaurant/grill, boardwalk, arcade, and beach shops, Convention Center across the street. It is walking distance down the beach to the right to the Ocean Deck, a fun restaurant/bar right on the beach with great food and entertainment at night (regae), relaxed during the day to visit in your beach attire. Don't miss it. Very friendly people, we have met interesting tourists from al over the world there.
Daytona now prohibits driving on that portion of the beach, effective last year, which actually we found to be an improvement, quieter, and safer if you have kids.
We might have seen you there this year, but we are trying Ft. Laudedale this year for a change. I hope you enjoy your trip.
