DAYSINNS

Do all Daysinns have indoor pools? We just stayed at one and the pool was great.

Days Inns?

No.

I avoid the Days chain at all costs. I'm glad you enjoyed one, gaileyann, but they are way too inconsistent in my book.

Gaileyann, glad you enjoyed a Days Inn. If you go to daysinn.com, you can check them all out to see which have indoor pools. Where was this one that you stayed in? I've only heard good things about the one in Charleston and the one in Savannah, otherwise - dismal reviews. I'm always a little leery of them.......

Try to avoid Days Inns at any cost! And I am a budget traveler.

The Days Inn in Charleston is excellent and the one in Savannah is good too. I've also stayed in a nice one in Great Barrington, MA (Berkshires). That being said, I agree that the chain is very inconsistent, and some of them aren't that nice.

Days Inns in southern California tend to be dumps in seedy areas. Sorry, but that's the fact here.

They're franchise properties, aren't they? That would go far in explaining the inconsistent quality and amenities.

RJW, yes, franchise. When I sent a letter to the headquarters complaining on one of the Days they politely told me they have no authority over individual ones.
