Kykuit was just marvelous and the Grand Tour was so worth it. Everything in the mansion was just very well thought out, even the gardens. Really loved my visit.

Philipsburg Manor was very interesting.

Sunnyside for me was so-so but maybe because it was already late in the afternoon and the interiors are so dark.

Overall, I enjoyed my day trip. Didn't have time to walk about town.

An additional thing is that once you get off the train, it's totally different from Manhattan's atmosphere. The air is cleaner and atmosphere relaxing.

Sorry for the delayed response.
We like Lemongrass in New Paltz very much.

The Thayer: when we checked in, I told the clerk that we had so much luggage that we needed a luggage cart--and she put us on the only floor that required going up stairs. I went back to request another room, which had its own set of problems: no place at the desk to plug in the computer, two reading chairs with no lamp, an alarm clock we couldn't figure out with no instructions, dirty, mold grout in the bathroom, paint peeling off the ceiling in the shower--and more things I can't remember.

The CIA's restaurants were closed when we were in NY.
