"Dark" in Vegas

What does this mean? I'm going to be in Vegas from November 7-11 and apparently the 6th and 7th are "Dark"...does that just mean that there are no shows that day? And why?
Thanks!

There should be some shows but yes, if something is listed as "dark" for a specific date(s) it means there is not a show.

I'm guessing those days are dark because they're Monday and Tuesday. Since those are probably the least busy days of the week for shows that's when the performers get their time off.

Performers get days off too just like all other workers :-) Usually Mon. & Tues. are considered "dark" because they are traditionally the slowest days in Vegas.

The reason there are dark days is the same reason why you don't work 365 days a year...People need breaks, facilities need repairs, etc.

I would be surprised if every show was dark during that period.
