Dallas to Grand Canyon & Utah Road Trip

We are planning a 2 week trip (last 2 weeks of October). We will be leaving from Dallas, TX and going to the Grand Canyon. My husband would like to visit Utah and some of its national parks. We would also like to see Yellowstone and don't know if that would be too ambitious. We want our trip to focus on the natural beauty and don't care about the night life.

Any suggestions/comments for an itinerary, lodgings or must sees would be appreciated. Thank you.

I think that the Grand Canyon and parks in Utah are plenty to fill a two week trip. I think you should leave Yellowstone for another time.

I agree (besides the fact it can start to get pretty chilly in YNP in Oct). There's plenty to see in UT, NM, and CO.

You could spend a couple of days in Santa Fe/Taos on way to GC, then loop up to Zion NP, Bryce Canyon NP, Arches NP, then Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP in CO, then the beautiful highway from Montrose to Durango and finish at Mesa Verde NP.
