Dallas- Southwest Air?

Just wondering if anyone has any information on Southwest discontinuing Chicago-DFW flights? You can now book on southwest.com through March 9th, but it looks like after January 9th MDW to DFW (or visa versa) is a no-go? It comes up as "unavailable".

Thanks!

Unless the Wright Amendment has changed, (and they hope to be able to) you can't fly into or out of Dallas on SWA from non-contiguous states.

MDW-DFW is code-share operated by ATA. Maybe ATA haven't finalized its schedule for Southwest, or they may be something else going on.

Big changes in store. The Wright amendment has been repealed by Congress and Southwest will modify its schedule to provide flights from Dallas Love Field to places such as Chicago, New York and Los Angeles.

There is still one stipulation in place... the flights cannot be nonstop, but must have at least one stop in the old Wright amendment restricted area. For example, a flight to Chicago from Love will probably stop in St Louis.

After 8 years, any airline can fly anywhere from Love nonstop.

You can now fly non-stop from St. Louis to Dallas Love field.
