Ahhhh! Cypress Gardens, now that's a name from the past - one of the tackiest tourist traps that ever graced the state of Florida. I can still see the old black & white TV commericals with the water skiers. We'd go to Florida every year when I was a kid and I'd bug my parents to take us there. One year dad relented and we had one of the most boring days I can remember.

What it's like today I have no idea. Back then it was second only to South of the Border.

Check out the reviews on tripadvisor. They are good for the most part.

A Traveler, how dare you burst my bubble. My childhood memories of visits to Cypress Gardens are wonderful. Fantastic water skiing shows -- I still remember the pyramid of skaters carrying the US flag and shooting out red, white, and blue smoke! The Esther Williams swimming pool shaped like the state of Florida. All the pretty girls strolling around with parasols in their huge pastel hoop skirts. Drinking ice cold orange drinks. Ah, a blast from the past is right.

Great typo (or misplaced modifier) above. I don't think the girls actually had the parasols in their hoop skirts.
