Current Phoenix airport car rental process/locations?
 

It looks like I can no longer just get my car right at the airport in Phoenix. Too bad; that was very convenient.

How does it work now? Where are the cars located?

What rental company? Last time I was there a few months ago, I could still get a car at Avis right in the airport garage.

I hope that's the case since I've always used Avis in Phoenix; so convenient. I read an article on OHX that said all rentals were now off-site.

We were just there on September 9th and rented from Dollar. Even though there were rental desks next to the Baggage Claim, we still had to ride the shuttle bus to the remote lots. ULK! :-( You may just want to call the Phoenix Hertz location to see.

Doah! I meant call the Avis location in Phoenix.

The car rental places are still at the airport just a little off to the side like most places. You just need to take shuttle and it is 5 minutes tops.

We rented from Avis over Labor Day weekend in PHX and had to take a shuttle from baggage claim area....approx 5-10 minute shuttle.
