Cubs Tickets for May

My husband and I were trying to get tickets to a Cubs vs. Dodgers game in May. (Grew up in the burbs of Chicago but now live in LA and would like to return to visit this year). It appears the single tickets are not for sale yet, but there are already tickets posted up on stubhub.

Any recommendations whether we should wait for single tickets to go on sale or buy at stubhub now? $60 is about the only price we're willing to pay so I guess we're stuck in the upper reserved section?

`Tickets are extremely hard to get through the Cubs site, if not impossible. The seats available on stubhub are season ticket holders that they are trying to sell. The longer you wait, more seats will become available but the price might increase. use www.seatdata.com to see the view from the seats. I would probably wait but there are no guarantees.

Are May tickets more sought-after than July tickets? We had no trouble buying tickets from the official site a couple of yeras ago.

Liz, then you got lucky. You may be the first person I have heard say that they got tickets from the Cubs site. I know I had to use Stubhub 2 years ago but that was for a Cardinals game so I expected that. Given that it is the Dodgers (a fairly popular team), it may be tough at best to get seats. Prices did drop last year on the 2nd hand sites like stubhub so you may get lucky.

Ok, sounds like we'll buy off stubhub. So are $60 about the price I should pay for the upper reserved section? It appears that's the only price point in our budget.
