Crowne Plaza or Edison

Which would you pick in Times Square, the Crown Plaza or Edison Hotel?

Crowne Plaza, definitely.

I should have been more specific with my question. Sorry ! Which one would you pick and WHY ? Thanks !

Guess I should have been more specific with my answer! Crowne Plaza is nicer, better located and newer. The Edison is fine but I consider it a "nice budget" hotel. The Crowne is "low luxury."

My vote is for the Edison. No, it is not a luxury property, BUT; great location, fun coffee shop, friendly staff, and it's VERY clean! I have stayed there several times and I always felt safe. Also, very cool restored art deco lobby! I'm sure the Crowne is also fine, I was just giving you my thoughts on the Edison so you can compare.

Location is not a factor. The Crowne is at 48th on Broadway. The Edison is on 47th just off Broadway. The Edison is the older of the two and is a good example of Art Dec0 architecture. The Edison is less expensive and has a good reputation. If price is a major consideration choose the Edison. If not, choose the Plaza
