Crossing the Chesapeake

I live by APG. I want to go to the beaches directly across the Chesapeake. I can either go south of Baltimore and cross and then come back north, or go north to come back south. Either trip will take about 2 hours. I don't suppose there is a ferry service?

I don't think there is anything running these days. I believe there was a ferry to Rock Hall from somewhere around Baltimore a few years back, but I don't think it runs any more. It probably would not have saved you any time anyway, though it certainly would have been more scenic.

smetz is correct, the Rock Hall ferry does not run any more. I live nearby.

What is APG?

Oh gee, of course, thank you.

Thank you for the informative, if not depressing, information. I wish I could charter a boat.
