Crater Lake in October
 

My husband and I will be in Oregon in mid October and we were planning a side trip to Crater Lake. Would the roads be accessible at all at that time of the year?

Even Jim Cantore from the Weather Channel could not answer you question this far in advance.

It's a good bet you'll be able to get to Rim Village from the south entrance to the park, but don't plan on driving the rim road.
