has anybody been on cowboy trails in las vegas? i was wondering is there 1 you lovely people can suggest to go on.

I've never been on a trail ride around Las Vegas, but I did google and found the website you must be asking about. Sounds really interesting. Hopefully, a Fodorite has done this and will give you feedback. Enjoy your trip this way across the pond!

I don't know if you've found this yet or not, but the reviews on tripadvisor are very interesting.

Evidently, one should avoid Sagebrush at all costs, but Cowboy Trail Rides received a very good review. Here's a link to the reviews -

When are you planning on going? This is not something you could do in the summer - or come to think of it they're probably not allowed to take horses out in the summer.

ime going to vegas middle march 4 14 nights!travelling back home the 3rd april. hope the weather is fine?just hope they clear the snow from newark airport.so we can land? 7and half hour flight from u/k.then another 5 hours to vegas.

Don't worry about the snow - we're used to it. No matter how big the snow the airports are up and running again (although with a backlog since planes are in all the wrong places) in about 12 hours.

March should be fine. (I was just imagining poor you and the poor horse out in the desert in 100+ degree heat - if you were going in the summer.)

The snow in Newark is already gone! It's 50 and sunny here today. All melting, melting, melting!

Another website is bonniesprings.com. I believe they're owned by the same company, and they're only a few miles apart in the Red Rock Canyon area, but I think your overall experience at Bonnie Springs would be better. I have ridden with Cowboy Trail Rides, and it's a fun experience, but it's more expensive. Bonnie Springs' rates are $35 per person for the ride, which is 1.5-2 hours. Both offer dinner trail rides, where you ride out onto the "range" and eat dinner over a campfire - might be a fun experience.

The other advantage Bonnie Springs has is their "Old Nevada" themed "park". There are actors wandering around and two shows they perform several times a day, which are hilarious, especially after a pitcher of beer or two from the bar.

My parents and I just spent the day out there this week. We stopped there, intending to check it out for an hour, and ended up staying for the entire afternoon into the evening. There's a restaurant there that serves some dang good pork ribs and has specials like buffalo steak.
