Courtyard Palm Desert hotel- is it a nice place to stay?

I am going to Palm Desert late next spring and have been looking for a nice hotel to stay in. I found the Courtyard in Palm Desert and it seems nice...has anyone been there before, or heard anything about it? Thanks.

Personally, I like the Marriott Residence Inn, right next door, much better, and there is a kitchenette inside the room. Free hot breakfast and cocktail hour included off their lobby. Pool is nicer.

The Courtyard is serviceable. It's more of a business hotel than a resort. The rooms are on the smallish side, but there is a sofa and desk. I agree with MBNancy that the Residence Inn is nicer. Ask for a South-facing view toward the Desert Willow golf course.

I recently stayed at the Couryard and thought it was great. Nice, clean rooms, fitness center, outdoor pool, spas, whirlpool, tennis court, putting green...I really enjoyed my stay there.

I have to agree with MBnancy, although the Courtyard is a nice place, I prefer to stay at Residence Inn due to the fact that it has suites. I've found the staff to be extremely nice and helpful there as well. They actually share the putting green and tennis court with the Courtyard.

01/03/06,
Just returned from a 3-night stay at the Marriott Residence Inn. This is our second stay and we find it very comfortable, clean, enjoyable and relaxing. We book a studio room, bottom floor, facing south right on the golf course and looking farther towards the beautiful Santa Rosa Mountains. Since we sometimes travel with our pet, this hotel is very pet friendly and kid friendly, too. There are tennis courts and swimming pool. There is a full breakfast served daily which is fair. The king size bed is VERY comfortable. Kitchenette serves its purpose and the small sitting room is cozy and comfortable. You can park your car just outside the room which is handy. There is also an ~Applebee's~ restaurant on the premises located on the corner of Frank Sinatra/Cook Sts.
Hope this helps.
Regards, Francie
