Couples First Time in NYC... suggestions??

Hello fellow fodorites!

Was hoping you all could give me ideas for what to see and do in NYC this weekend (Feb 14-16)

My boyfriend and I, both in our mid 20s, will be heading there for the first time and need advice on what to see/do/etc.

Suggestions???

The opportunities are almost limitless in NYC. So, pass along some info on your interests, etc.
You already are too late for getting reservations at a lot of restaurants. And, if you're interested in going to the theater, it would be the same situation for the top shows.

PS: Valentine's Day is one of the busiest, if not THE businest, nights of the year.

We need to know if you like to shop, do you like to walk, do you like museums, would you stand in line for theatre tickets, do you like Italian, French, American or Chinese food, are you wine lovers--you'll get lots of good advice here, just give us something to start with.

There are so many things to do in NYC, but here is a list of places that I recommend for the first-timers...

1. Empire State Building
2. Rockefeller Center
3. Times Square
4. Metropolition Museum of Art
5. Ground Zero (WTC site)

Also, if time permits, a visit to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty (although you can no longer go inside of it). Plus if the weather is not nasty, Central Park is a nice place to visit.

Those are my suggestions. Hope you have a great time there. :-)

This is a great weekend to be in NY. Plan to take in a show (your concierge can help secure tickets). Tiffany's is a must see, especially on Valentine's Day weekend. Walk on 5th & Madison Aves. Go down to Soho or the lower East Side. Veselka is a great place for brunch, on 2nd Avenue & 9th St., I think.
