Inakauaidavidababy, did you find the lilikoi guy at the Hawi market?
I haven't made it over in too long cause my grandbabies are too cute to leave, but I love it so much. |
Sadly or lillikoi/roasted Mac nut guy was Mia both weeks. And we did Hawi and the 4 in Waimea both weeks. Love, love, love hina Rae's acai bowls!!! Even went to their brick and mortar one day. Da fish house was much better stocked this trip. Last year I would visit almost everyday and come home empty handed. Finally made it to da poke shop and it is truly the best!

There is an article in the Kohala Mountain News (p.5) about the Lilikoi lady, who, sadly, passed away in May.

Thanks for the article Kailani. I never met her, but that could be her husband. Very sad loss of a cherished member of the community.

I had my husband read the article about the lillikoi couple. He got misty eyed and is sure, although we never met her, we enjoyed her and her husbands puree.
Another find was a juicer on the last Waimea farmers market. A gentleman sold great fresh squeezed juice in Masons jars. We especially enjoyed the strawberry/guava. We found out too late that we could have saved a dollar by returning the mason jar. Good stuff! |
huh.

could you elaborate "huh"?
