Costanoa Tips?

My wife and I are travelling all the way up Highway 1 from Santa Cruz to spend our tenth wedding anniversary at Costanoa ;>

We're in the mid-range cabins.

So once we get there, what should we expect/plan to do? We'd like to go to Pecasdero one night for dinner at Duarte's. How's the food at Costanoa?

thanks for any tips, suggestions ....

I've never stayed at Costanoa, but I just wanted to say that dinner at Duarte's sounds like a great plan :)

Other things to do in the area - beach combing at the beaches north of Pescadero along Hwy 1, hiking in Butano State Park, walking and bird watching at Pescadero marsh, wandering around Half Moon Bay.

We stayed (I used the term loosely) at Costanoa when it first opened. We checked out after about an hour, when we discovered a couple of ticks on the pillows - plus it turned out, I am not fond of having to shlep to a bathroom! As far as Duartes - the food is fantastic. We never had vegetables so fresh! Great place.

Costanoa has a 'deli' for breakfast coffee/rolls,and sandwiches. Norm's Bakery next to Duarte's is great to buy picnic food to go.
Half Moon Bay is not far, all the food is fabulous. Ketch Joann's is my personal favorite, but then only one place in the area (in many years)
has ever been disappointing.
Better tips from more preference clues. What to you both love?
