Austin, the suspense is killing me ;-) Are you okay? Where did you disappear to???
If you are staying in downtown I believe the Omni is the nicest hotel if that is what you're looking for. There are two Omni hotels in Corpus--Bayfront and Marina about a block or two apart. Haven't been there recently enough to recommend places to eat. In the past we have stayed at the Omni Bayfront and driven to the beach at Mustang Island on North Padre. I believe there are hotels / condos along the shore in Corpus--perhaps someone with more info than I can help you out. |
Great places to visit inlude the Lexington aircraft carrier, The Texas State Aquarium, and the Corpus Christi Museum of Science with replicas of the Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria. As for dining, try Water St. Oyster Bar or the Yardarm for upscale seafood.

I have stayed at the George Blucher House B&B twice. The inn keeper, Tracey, is nice and has a great breakfast. The rooms are nice beds and nice linens. Frommer's Texas Travel Guides 1st, 2nd & 3rd Editions 'Best of the Best' Bed & Breakfasts
