Coronado Village or Coronado Cays?

I planned to rent a condo in Coronado (San Diego)in fall for two weeks. Some are in the village with a view on Glorietta Bay, others in Coronado Cays. What is the best choice?

The village is much more convenient for walking to restaurants, the beach, etc. You would have to drive from the Cays.

The Cays is a residential subdivision a couple miles down the strand from Coronado. Fancy houses, some with their own docks. Bad traffic during morning and afternoon rush hours, and you'll be stuck hunting for parking at the beach..

No question that I'd stay in town. Half the charm of Coronado is walking or bicycling around.

The Coronado Cays is not really part of the Coronado "Village."

Coronado Cays is just a residential housing area with not much to do located 15 minutes by car down the Silver Strand.

The Village is a wonderful town with restaurants, shops, beautiful beach, public golf course, yatch club, about five minutes over the bridge into downtown san diego, etc.

Every Sunday night there is Music in the Park hosted by the City of Coronado (the park is across the street from the Library). It is something not to miss.
