Coronado or Imperial Beach

Travelling to California in the summer and wanting a vacation rental in (preferably) a Home/villa, rather than condo. We would like a quiet 'old-style' neighbourhood, rather than anything trendy - lovely beach is essential. We do not know the area, but think that either coronado or imperial beach will provide what we are looking for. We are two adults and one child. Any suggestions?

Hint: They used to call it &quot;Immoral Beach&quot;. <BR>Coronado would be my choice.

Coronado would be the best choice between the 2. Lovely Island.

Book Coronado... do not second guess yourself. Then when in California, check out Imperial Beach and congratulate yourself on your wise decision!

Coronado would be infinitely better than Imperial Beach. However, I'll be really surprided if there are any vacation rentals on Coronado. Most of the vacation rentals are in the Pacific Beach-Mission Beach area. You might find something in Del Mar, but it would be extremely expensive. You could also look at Carlsbad. All of these beaches are great.
