Coronado Island Restaurants
Staying at the Marriott Coronado in late
July with 2 kids....any recommendations
on restaurants? Seafood, mexican and pasta
are favorites...but not a must...

Thanks so much!

Stayed there in Nov. Don't eat at the hotel. It was average at best. Peohe's is within walking distance. A pretty good seafood place. We also ate at the Rhinoceros Grill closer to the Hotel del Coronado. It's a nice bistro-like restaurant, good pasta dishes. We also ate at the Coronado Brewing Company which was good for a laid back casual meal. Pretty good personal pizzas.

I'd suggest Miguel's Cocina on Coronado Island (there's also a Shelter Island location). Be sure to ask for them to bring out some of their yummy cheese sauce with your chips.
in san diego go to casa de bandini's in old town for mexican, anthony's fish grotto on harbor drive and head to "little italy" for good pasta restaurants.

Second the vote for Miguel's...great Mexican and atmosphere is nice...outdoors patio deal. The same company also has Cota Azul (spelling) just down the street a couple of blocks from Miguel's. There's a good, reasonably priced pasta restaurant across the street from Marie Callendars on Orange Ave and Churchill. Also rec. MooTime for an evening ice cream (they mix in your favorite candies..very popular in Coronado. Really, there are tons of places along the main street in Coronado (Orange Ave) and none are bad.

One more vote for Miguel's. I have to make a special visit each time I'm in San Diego.
