Copying Beta Tapes to CD?

I still have a lot of my travel videos on the old Beta tapes. Does anyone know where or how they can be transferred to CD?

Pinnacle Systems makes a connector you can connect from your beta player to your computer, as well as software.

You would make DVDs, not CDs.

You can buy these at Circuit City, Best Buy, etc or online.

Pay attention to the computer system requirements - having adequate processing power, drive space, and memory is important.

You can buy a DVDR and copy from you Beta to the DVDR. If not you will have to have it done commercially

Sorry, it isn't clear - do you still have a Beta player? If so, the advice above will work; if not, you'll have to have it done profesionally (what needs to happen, whether you do it at home or have it done professionally, is that the analog tapes need to be converted to digital). Ritz Camera probably does it.

dmlove - nice picture, but did you make a booboo? ((*))

You can transfer video to CD:

or video to DVD:

You can learn more by googling 'transfer video to CD (or DVD)'. ((*))

Thank you for your replies. Yes, I forgot to mention our BETA player no longer works. We bought one on eBay and it worked for about 10 minutes only! No one can seem to fix it. I'll try Ritz Camera, thanks.

Jed, I'm glad those people in the picture I linked to are clothed! Honestly, I have absolutely no idea who that picture is of, or why my link went there. Here's the actual correct link:
