Copper Mountain restaurants and activities

Any suggestions for good eateries in and around Copper? Where's the best place (don't mind driving a bit to get there) for snow mobiling? Any other Copper advice or tip is appreciated. Thanks!

Copper is pretty small and separated from the other ski areas. It has undergone a significant redevelopment at the base but still lacks anything other than a few restaurants and bars. The Oriental restaurant is decent for lunch assume the same for dinner. Frisco, about 10 miles down the mountain has a number of good restaurants and you would find snow mobiling in that area. Vail is 25 further along I-70 AND over Vail pass which can be a problem when snow. That is the place for the best restaurants.

The best restuarant at Copper Mt. is C.B. Grille, upscale with a great ambience and good food. We use to like Salsa Mt. Cantina and the Double Diamond use but it's been several years since we've eaten at either one. The Alpenista is fine for Italian just got mad at them once when they were out of my favorite Sauvignon Blanc.:) There's a pretty decent pizza place near the Eagle Lift. No ambience but good pizza. As fmpden has already mentioned, Frisco has several good restaurants as does Breckenridge just 20 minutes away. I agree that Vail is your best bet for a selection of quality restaurants, but the drive over the pass really can get iffy in the snow. Great skiing though.

For activities at Copper Mt. I know they have a tubing hill and that they offer snow cat rides. The Athletic Club has a decent pool. They once offered sleigh rides but not sure if that's still a possibility.

We stayed at Copper two years ago and really enjoyed the restaurants in the village. There was a large bar/restaurant in the center that was good, and we enjoyed the Mexican place too. But set time aside to drive to Ledville. It's about 45 min but the town was fun. There is an old saloon that is cool and make sure you are there at dinner time. Quinceys was unique, filet minion, baked potato and salad for like $9.00. We had fun with other skiers. A goofy good afternoon!

Thank you all for the input. We will certainly try out your in-town recommendations and also head out to the nearby locations. I agree, the Vail pass driving might be more than this Florida family is ready to take on!
