COOLINARY NEW ORLEANS - Where to start
The options are over whelming - am thinking of going someplace I wouldn't normally go & spend the $$$. Am open to comments, suggestions & favorites.

Not trying to be picky but it is culinary, not coolinary....
That said, I believe you're making a big mistake of spending a week in NOLA during August, but that's JMHO, take it or leave it
ok, finally, I can't help you with recommend,...s but from what I remember, Commanders Palace, but that was few years back. Don't know what it's like now.

Surprisingly enough, I can actually spell....www.coolinaryneworleans.com & from what I can tell, Commander's isn't an option. Not that I would be inclined to go there anyway, it isn't my favorite place. I have been visiting NOLA for the past 20+ years & the past 6 or 8 (years) in August primarily for these two events - http://nolareddress.com/ & http://www.neworleansonline.com/newo...irtylinen.html. Thanks for your help...

I live here and August is hot but food is always great. Commanders good, Antoine's real good but a coat was a requirement a few years ago so dress nice and go to lunch if no coat. Oysters- Drago's. K-Paul's always good. Galitores good. I tell people to eat at any establishment that is not associated with a chain. Pelican Club good. The list goes on. Enjoy.
