Cool Airfare Website!

I just stumbled across this website looking for cheap airfare to Tortola over the holidays.

www.itasoftware.com

You can't book a ticket there but it does have great options and seems to search all airfare everywhere!

Didn't see any advertisers either.

I did a test of it for several different itineraries against SideStep and SideStep beat it on price in a third of the time in every test. Good idea though. Try www.flights.com for a similar experience.

Gardyloo, is Flights.com Sidestep?

I'll add my new favorite...
www.site59.com
Amazing last minute package deals.
Generally you can book weekend trips up to 3 weeks out and pay less than the going airfare for both air and hotel.
We are thinking about going somewhere this weekend, New Orleans for 3 days is like 250 for air and hotel.

Side step is good for base info, but in my personal searching experience, they have never beat out Orbitz. Site 59 is great for last minute deals--you can also sign up for weekly emails and you'll receive specials from your departing city each week--great prices!

Gardyloo, thank you thank you thank you for Sidestep.com!

In my initial search, I stumbled across itasoftware.com. I was trying to find airfare from the southeast US to Tortola, Virgin Islands over Christmas.

I was getting prices around $1600 per person which is stoopid expensive.

I figured I would have to drive to Ft.Lauderdale or Miami to get the airfare under $1000.

Using the 300 mile alternate airport radius on itasoftware.com, it gave me a $417.00 rate from Orlando. I plugged that information into sidestep and $391 came up!

My drive time has been cut in half and what I'm spending on both tickets I budgeted for one!

Okay - SideStep.com is pretty cool - thanks for sharing the info, Gardyloo.

I was surprised that it didn't function with Netscape, but that's okay.

Make it great!
