Convents, Monastery accommodations in the Northeast?
My husband's 60th birthday is in January and I think he would love a weekend of solitude and reflection at a monastery or convent (which has nothing to do with being married to me!) I have tried the Weston Priory which is closest to us, but the monks will be away for over a month at that time. Do you have any suggestions or recommendations?

check out Glastonbury Abbey in Hingham, MA. The current schedule only goes up to Jan 1 but there is a number to call.

The convent of St Birgitta in Darien CT might suit, though it's about a three hour drive.

try the Society of St. John the Evangelist in Massachusetts somewhere. I am not sure of the details. It is an Episcopal monastery. Someone from my church just left to explore his vocation there and he said it was the most peaceful, spiritual place.
