Construction at Renaissance Wailea
 

I understand that there is some construction going on next door to the Renaissance Wailea in Maui. has anyone stayed there recently? How distracting is it? Are there any sections of the Hotel unaffected? Would it be best to make new reservations at another hotel (Maui Prince / Kapalua Bay?)? Any information, responses would be appreciated as we are leaving on Friday! Thanks

Hi, I just got off of the telephone with the Renaissance and they also advised me of the construction. We are not going until next July, so I think that the impact to me will be minimal. He did tell me that they are using dynamite to blast for private homes.

Unfortunately, I can't move the date, if you know of anybody who has stayed there recently (or if anyone is out there) please let me know. Should I move? Obviously, the Hotel will not tell me to move.

Message: Does anyone know exactly where the construction is happening? Is it beside the Luau grounds? I would very much like to know. Mahalo

I believe it is next to the luau grounds. On the North Side of the resort, not visible, but audible.
