Connecting through Toronto
Little warning to anyone connecting through Toronto airport-especially for an ongoing International flight (we flew from Denver to London with a connection there 2 weeks ago)-Our airline (Air Canada) which is based out of Toronto, scheduled a one hour layover to change planes-know that this is not enough time, unless you are Superman, to make your flight due to the buses you must take to your next terminal etc etc-consider having the flight out changed. what a nightmare.

Ani, thx. for the heads up on this one! BTW, did you make your London flight?

Sorry so late on this reply Dave! We were lucky enough to get the LAST 2 seats on the next flight (fyi-the LAST flight) of the night-I cried when we got those seats. It wasn't a good experience. Luckily the pub at the airport was.

If you do the text search on this forum you will find many posts stating that Toronto airport is the most unfriendly airport and I been there a couple times. Never again

Sorry Andy, the problem is not Toronto Int.(Pearson is the real name)Airport, the problem is Air Canada.
They are the most arogant airline around, and they just don't give a shit if someone is bumped from or misses a flight. Flights are overbooked on an ongoing basis.
The only way to fix them is to open the skies in Canada to American carriers.

I flew from SF to Montreal by Air Canada with a stopover in Toronto. The first plane was a little late so the second was delayed for 10 minutes to pick us up! (2 people). Was I just plainly lucky? I thought it's the norm for Air Canada, no?

Oh wow-count your freakin' blessings--as above posters mentioned not only were we booked an impossible (verified by the ticket agent afterward) connection time-but the RUDEST staff I've ever experienced-I swear they went out of the way to make it more difficult! (ok not really but it truly sucked)
