Connecticut Restaurant Suggestions

We live in NJ and our friends live in the Hartford area - we would like to meet half way for lunch over the holidays - We thought something around Danbury area near Rt 84. Would anyone have suggestions on a nice restaurant?
Westport CT has some fantastic restaurants. We like "Three Bears" -
ttp://www.newmassmedia.com/food/restdir/fai037.html

which has a great menu - and very unusual decor - lots of tiffany glass and antiques in glass walls. Be sure to venture up the stairs.

Danbury is definitely NOT the area to meet. It's an area very reminiscent of a rust belt town without many amenities and few (if any) worthwhile restaurant destinations.
The best options are in SW CT, (Westport would be my pick as well) or even closer in, Greenwich/Stamford.

Ridgefield is just south of Danbury and is a quaint town. I recommend the Elms Inn, Biscotti (my favorite) and The Inn at Ridgfield.

I'm sorry to see that someone posted Danbury, CT as 'not a place to meet'. There is a fabulous restaraunt in northern Danbury (rated best French restaurant in CT for 10 years - not a small award) called Ondine. It's pricey, out in the sticks, but worth every penny.
