Congrats Detroit!!!

Normally I wouldn't post something like this, but I saw a thread that was shut down by Fodors asking a mean question about Detroit.

I just want to congratulate the Pistons on their awesome Finals! NO ONE thought they would do what they do what they did and they were a lot of fun to watch!

I'll be getting more sleep without these late games on to watch any more!

Woo Hoo!!

Congrats, Detroit. Now you can be proud not only of Eminem.

Heard Larry Brown was going back to Philidelphia and pee on mid-court

Hee . . hee . .

Hurrah for Detroit. Anybody who beats the Lakers is my friend.

It's all very exciting. The Victory Parade will start in about an hour and it looks like the rain might hold off. We will be able to watch from office window (with binoculars).

Yea Pistons!!

Wow! Thanks so much for the congrats! I'm so proud of our team and our city. They won the right way and we are celebrating the right way! The parade is underway, I just wish I was there instead of at my desk listening on the radio! :-)

I'm so glad that we beat the whiny Lakers. I have never in my life seen a more selfish player than Kobe Bryant.

Cool thing is that it was raining & gloomy all morning. As it got closer to the parade, as I understand it, the sun started to peek out! Even Mother Nature is a Piston fan today!

Deeeetroit Baaaaaasketball!!!

The funny thing is that Detroit has the makings of being an excellent, deep team for a long time. And the Lakers seem like they might implode as a team. Ironically, Rashad Wallace, Ben Wallace and Richard Hamilton are ex-Wizards from my hometown team in DC.

mikesmom Jun 17th, 2004 09:07 AM

The parade is almost over and the Pistons are headed to Hart Plaza for more accolades. The sun came out (against all odds) and it's turning out to be a beautiful day.

We are the Champions of the World!!!!

Shane - I think this year the Lakers imploded. I found this team more distasteful than prior teams b/c they seemed to be a bunch of prima donnas who thought that b/c of their names, they were a shoo-in for a title. A lot of people agreed! By the end of the season, they didn't even seem like a "team", like the Timberwolves or Detroit did.

BTW, my vote for Finals MVP would have gone to Ben Wallace.

I'm still so thrilled Detroit won and I'm now going into basketball withdrawal.

Honestly I am happy for the Pistons (and I'm in Chi!) but I'm even happier that the mailman failed to deliver. I just think he is an arrogant and worse a dirty player. I still remember how he nearly killed David Robinson with that upward elbow shot and folks that was plain deliberate. JM2C.
