conference hotel San Francisco
I'm arranging a conference for 100 local guests in San Francisco in April 2003. (LA in March)

I need some suggestions for hotels with a nice conference room area, minimal traffic and parking hassles and not too outrageously expensive.

Since the attendees will be local the ease to get to and from the hotel on a Friday will be a plus.

any direct suggestions can be posted or e-mail [email protected] thanks for your input.

Since I'll be staying at the hotel, something nice and not too old and musty smelling.
Are there any nice suburb areas around San Francisco with nice hotels?

I've been told the Laurel Heights area is good. Any feedback? Any hotel suggestions that local San Francisco professionals would like to spend a Friday at for a seminar?

In SF, I suggest either the St. Francis or the Hyatt Embarcadero. Both are well located, decent hotels, close to BART (Hyatt is actually AT the Embarcadero BART stop)and excellent restaurants. For suburbs, the Claremont in Berkeley would be suitable, although if your guests reside in SF, on the Peninsula (south of SF) or in Marin County (north of SF) they will have a much harder time getting to the Claremont. Good Luck.

Check out some of the hotels by the airport. There is plenty of parking and traffic should not be much of a problem.
Some of the nicer places I would suggest are the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport, the Clarion San Francisco Airport, the Villa Hotel, and Sheraton Gateway.

http://www.san-francisco-sfo.com/hotels.html

The Hilton at the Airport is a popular conference facility.
