Condo's on Kauai
I'm looking for a 2 Br condo on Kauai preferably in Poipu. I've seen the Embassy Vacation resort website and it looks really nice. I'd like to be near the beach, and have a pool for the kids. Any other suggestions?

Try www.vacationspot.com. They have listings for lots of condos in Kauai. Also www.suite-paradise.com. We've stayed at Kuhio Shores and like it a lot, but it has no pool. Kiahuna Plantation is also very nice and has a pool.

The Kaihana Plantation may have access to a pool but it's across the street. The benefit of Kaihana Plantation is that it's right on a nice stretch of beach.

Dave,
I just returned from Kauai. We stayed at the Sheraton which was next door to Kiahuna Plantation. It looked decent from the outside. The beach in that area is great.

We walked past the Embassy Resort from the oceanside. I was not at all impressed with the grounds or building from that view. It was very plain but maybe on the otherside of the building it was landscaped. There wasn't a beach in front of the resort.

We had friends who were staying at the Poipu Kai Resort (condos) in the Poipu Sands section. They had a two bedroom unit that had been maintained very well.
The paid about $190.00 a night. It has a pool but not a swimmable beach. It is however located right next to the Hyatt's beach which didn't look very swimable for very young children.
You can take a long walk to Poipu Beach Park. They booked it through Suite-
Paradise. I have to say we really enjoyed the Sheraton but I would suggest staying in the Beach or Ocean section.

We stayed at Poipu Kai, but in the units right across the street from Poipu Beach Park. I think the area was called Manualoha. We rented a 2 bath/2 bedroom, had a pool right outside our front door and had a view of the ocean from the front room and the living room, dining room and living room patio. We booked through Suite Paradise and it was about $180/nt.
