Condos in Waikiki and Maui

Would welcome some suggestions for staying in a condo in Waikiki and Maui in January. Will also consider a junior suite. Prefer somewhere with reasonable access to restaurants and shops, but not too noisy.

Aston Waikiki Sunset has either 1 or 2 bedrooms with full kitchen. It is in a quiet location in Waikiki. It is aboout 2 blocks from the beach.

www.hawaii-hotels.com lists many on both Oahu and Maui.

Also try www.turtlebaycondos.com for a north shore condo.

We stayed at the Aston Papakea on Maui last October and were very happy with it. It is in the Kanapali area.

May thanks for the suggestions. I spotted the Aston group and have looked at the website - they look fine. I noticed that earlier in the year someone suggested the Ilana hotel in Waikiki. Can anyone compare it to the Aston?

There is a condo in Maui that is on the beach and quiet. It is a rental by owner that you can access on-line: http://mauicondos.topcities.com/ I have had friends stay there and said it was a quiet, great location in honokowai.

On Maui, we stayed at the Hale Kai last year and absolutely loved it. We were close to the water, the pool was super-clean, and the rate was reasonable. You can see it at halekai.com.

How long will you be staying in Waikiki? There are some nice condos at the Ilikai (1 week minimum) and at Discovery bay (30 days)?

Unfortunately, we are only in Waikiki for 3 or 4 nights and then off to Maui for a week before returning home via a stopover in San Francisco.
