Condos in Maui
We are going to Maui in March and were interested in both the Renaissance and Marriott but found out both will be under renovations at that time. We would like to stay in the Wailea area but the other nice hotels in that area like the Fairmont, Four Seasons and Grand Wailea seem to be alot more expensive. So we were thinking maybe we should find a nice condo. Does anyone have any suggestions? There are only 2 of us so a studio or one bedroom would be fine. We would like to be by a nice beach but also have a pool. Thanks.

We stayed across the street from those Wailea area properties in the quiet Grand Champions condo's and our's was a great bargain (recall one studio was <$100/nite $)&check availability@ www.vrbo.com), but we had to drive a couple minutes to the Wailea area beaches, as it was too far to walk.:S-

We stayed at Grand Champions too and loved the location, it was a short drive to all of the beaches in Wailea. We rented this condo in Nov 2004 and were really happy with it, I'd stay there again. The pictures don't do it justice.

My family has stayed in two very nice condo's in the Wailea area...actually the very southern part of Kihei...where Wailea begins...Both properties are situated right on the beach. Both are very nice...and each have a full kitchen. Great Sunsets.
1. Mana Kai Maui (thru Condominium Rentals Hawaii 1-800-367-5242 or www.crhmaui.com 2. Kihei Surfside---808-874-3194 [email protected] We are returning this March again because our son is living there...haven't decided yet where we're staying, but I would highly recommend either of these. Good luck. |
Agree that you should look at the Mana Kai and Kihei Surfside, both in South Kihei at the Wailea border (they share a parking lot). Stayed at both. Mana Kai is a hybrid hotel/condo facility. The condo unit I stayed in in 1992 was dreadful. Dark and viewless. Surfside is on the water but not on the beach, though it's only a few dozen steps to Keawakapu, a very good snorkeling beach.
There are a few nice to very nice condo properties in Wailea, The Palms, Ekahi, Eulua, Ekolu and Grand Champions. Some on the beach. If you "vant" to be alone, look further east to Polo Beach Club and the Makena Surf, two beautifully situated properties. VRBO and crhmaui are two sources of rentals. |
