Condo on Oahu
Have booked a 2 bedroom condo for a week on Oahu for a family of 5. Am interested in anyone's experience with staying in condos on Oahu. Where did you stay? Did you like it, why or why not and would you consider staying there again? I'm only interested in properties that have a least 2 bedrooms. Thanks!

Just want to warn against Pat's Kailua. They own a number of properties. Sorry no time for detail just avoid this agency. If you do an archive search I have put more detail on this.

I lived on the north shore in the condos at Turtle Bay Estate. I loved the north shore and you can rent those condos for short term and long term. It is a quieter side of the island but I believe it's more relaxing. It just depends on what kind of action you like but hey it's Hawaii...it's all good.
We stayed at the Aston at Waikiki Shore about 5 years ago. The big appeal was the condo was on Waikiki Beach. I would rate the condo a 6 on a scale of 10 - adequate, but nothing fancy. Given many people rent cars (we didn't), I would probably stay somewhere else on the island, and visit Honolulu.

Mike Honeycutt

I've stayed at different Aston condo properties - Aston Waikiki Shore, Aston Waikiki Sunset & Aston Pacific Monarch. Liked all of them. Waikiki Shore is right on beach, other 2 about 2 blocks away. Aston properties are usually nice - not deluxe, but should have everything you need.
