Condo Advice Again

I want to thank everyone who responded to my last post but I have one more question...Has anyone ever stayed at the Regency Condos at Poipu Beach?? I've already made reservations at Whalers Cove(for Thanksgiving) but someone mentioned the Regency to me. Any thoughts??? Thanks

Based on location alone, Whaler's Cove is much better. Regency condos are not on the beach and have no ocean views. Whaler's Cove is directly on the ocean (although not on the beach). Check out the aerial photos on http://www.wizardpub.com/kauai/kauaerials.html
Regency condos are part of Poipu Kai.

za,
WOW !!! What a great site. Thank you so much. You are 100% correct and I will stay at the Cove.

Alan, we stayed at Whalers Cove Sept 01 for our anniversary. It was fabulous. The pool is right on the ocean/ We asked if we could have a second floor condo in building 1 so we would have nothing in front of us but the ocean. They gave it to us and the pictures we took from the HUGE lanai look fake they are so beautiful. Great sunsets.

We packed our snorkel gear and some other stuff in an ice chest and sealed it up with duct tape at the airport after it was searched and checked it with our luggage. It was great to have a cold beverage out at the pool.

You'll have a great time.

Thanks Suzie,
The more research I do the more I believe I'll stay at the Whaler's Cove. It really sounds wonderful. It is strange, I took your advice about the second floor,Bldg. 1 and they told me if I asked for a specific room it was more expensive. Anyway,I did book it and we'll see what they give me. hopefully I'll get Bldg. 1.Thanks again.

Alan,
We went through Suite Paradise if that helps. They were great.

Suzie's advice about the cooler is very good. We've always brought at least a small cooler to take along to the beach for cold drinks, fruit, etc.

Another good suggestion is to bring some packaged snack foods that you like, such as granola bars, etc. It's sometimes hard to find these things in resort areas, and they're always expensive.

We take a collapsible cooler, I think my wife bought it at Sam's, it's very useful on the trip and on the flights home we stuff it with laundry & check as baggage to make room for the inevitable souvenirs etc !
