Comments on these specific Seattle hotels?
 

Planning for a Labor day weekend vist and have found these hotels in my desired price range ($100-120 per night for a single). Hawthorn Inn & Suites, Best Western Executive Tower, Mayflower Park Hotel, Moore Hotel and the Inn At Queen Anne. I'll appreciate comments based on reputation, location or personal experience with any of these. My criteria are that it be clean, quiet and have a comfortable bed. I'm unconcerned with other amenities. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Of those, I'd say the Mayflower is head and shoulders above the others in terms of niceness (in fact, I'm surprised it's in the same price range), plus it has a great central location and is right next to the Monorail (for going to Bumbershoot. <BR> <BR>I would definitely NOT recommend staying at the Moore. I haven't been inside in about three years, but at that time, it was a seedy hotel in a verging on seedy location, and from the outside at least, it hasn't changed.

The Mayflower Park is wonderful! It's my favorite hotel in Seattle. Stayed there 4 times in the past 6 years and I've loved every visit.

Mayflower, definitely. Be sure to reserve early!

I either misread or was misinformed re/rates at the Mayflower. It appears that I'm unlikely to get a room for much less than $200 per night that weekend. I'm willing to go up to $150 if need be but expect to spend precious little time in the room and prefer to use the extra $$ for dining instead. I've definitely ruled out the Moore based on comments received here but will appreciate thoughts on the others if anyone can share.

I prefer the Inn At Queen Anne (if the Mayflower is out of the question)I,ve stayed there many times and always found it clean, fairly quiet and the employees very helpful..Close to bus for downtown, although I always walked to the downtown area and then the busses are free. <BR>Hope this helps

Your comment is welcomed, Kay. An hour or so ago (before your posting), I went ahead and booked the Queen Anne. A friend who lives in Bellevue advise me that it's a very convenient location and I couldn't beat the price - including AAA discount it's $89.50 per night for a room with one queen bed. For an extra $10 per night I could have air conditioning but it seems unlikely that night time temps in Seattle would be over 70 degrees - I guess I'll take my chances. Thanks again to all for their comments.
