Colorado Whitewater Rafting

I am looking into a late spring whitewater rafting trip to Colorado. I want Class IV to V wild. Does anyone have opinions? Thank you.
Whitewater is best after the first of June in Colorado. A thrilling ride can be found at Royal Gorge near Canyon City

A few years ago we had a very good experience with a company out of Grand Junction, CO. They do whitewater trips throughout the area, not just in the state of Colorado. Check their website for more information
www.raft-colorado.com
The name of the company is Adventure Bound River Expeditions, and they were a pleasure to do business with. Very professional and enjoyable experience.

When we were in Durango last Summer we took the steam train ride up to Silverton, which paralells the Animas River for most of the journey. The river above Durango is quite wild, full of class IV and V rapids, and looked like quit a a fun ride for those brave enough. There are several rafting companies in Durango that offer trips on the upper Animas in Spring and early Summer when the water is high enough. I'm sure that several of them have web sites. We took a half day raft trip on the lower Animas, as it was too late in the season for the more thrilling upper Animas trip - it was more calm on that stretch of river than we'd hoped, just a few class II and III rapids, but we had a good time anyway. Durango is a great town in a gorgeous setting, with lots of fun stuff to do if you want a break from rafting.
