Colorado rafting

we'll be visiting Colorado (staying in woodland park area) and would like to do a rafting trip.

any recommendations for outfitters?

WHEN ??? White water rafting peaks in June and tappers off as less water comes down the mountain in late summer. Brown Canyon from Salida is one of the better route. There are a number of rafting companies in Salida and they all are about the same. Salida is a couple hours west of CS. Not much in the area. There are float trips on Clear Creek out of Idaho Springs about 30 minutes west of Denver.

There are some good trips out of Buena Vista, CO as well. Can't remember rafting outfitter we used, but it was fun. Have had a lot of water in Colorado this year but as above, the water level really diminishes as the summer progresses.

I can't remember which outfitter we used either, but we did the Arkansas River twice. We white water rafted several rivers out west, and we think the Arkansas is one of the most scenic
