COLORADO / DENVER ACCOMODATION

Hi guys,

I'm looking to travel to Colorado for around a week in November, will be my first visit, coming from Aus, just looking for any good places to stay, Will definitely be staying in Denver but not set on staying there the whole length if there's any great places to see,
Would love any hotel/cabin/accommodation in general advice, it will be my and my partner, looking to hopefully spend around $100 a night, although happy to stay at a nicer pricier place and then do a cheaper option to mix it up as well,

Any feedback would be great!

Kind regards,
Chloe

Will you have a car? If not, how do you plan to get around?

{Aus = Australia or Austin or...??}

$100 (US?) a night -- albeit November -- is going to be hard to do in downtown Denver. Cabin isn't going to happen unless you are going to a more mountain type area.

What part of November? 1 st week or last full week?? Thanksgiving is the 24th, a big holiday here [if you are from Australia].

What kind of sights do you want to see; what are your interests?
Your age - just a general # will do, might help. 20s vs 60s usually means different interests.

Those are all good question that we need an answer to before generating good responses. Denver has a decent light rail and bus so you can get around via public transit. Staying downtown will exceed your $100 limit. However you could stay in any number of areas along the southeast line into the Denver tech center. Lots of hotels clustered along that rail line. November can be a cold and snowy month so plan on a little adverse weather.

Thanks guys!

I will be hiring a car when there, so that will be main way of getting around, It will be the end of 2nd week to start of 3rd week in November, definitely preparing for the weather,

We are both 30, interests are sight seeing/national parks/ possibly snow fields if there is snow at this time?
Probably quite a typical tourist experience just wanting to see as much as we can,

$$ - AUD

Would be interested in doing a mountain type area even for 2-3 nights - any to recommend ?

Thanks a lot!

I can recommend some places to stay in Littleton, some are very reasonable.

You might look on hotels.com or booking.com and look around the Denver Tech area (Littleton is sort of that). There are good prices going into weekends often because business people stay during the week. Also parking isn't a problem/cost and you CAN use the light rail to get into downtown.
VRBO might be a source for when you go to the mountains.
