Coming into Denver on 7th of Oct., Is there any area we can head to to still be able to see some fall color?

Snow has fallen, and more is predicted for some elevations in Colorado this week. The aspen leaves might be gone by Oct 7. Best to look for lowest elevation trees. Good luck.

We drove Independence Pass on Sunday and hiked in Maroon Bells yesterday and if this isn't peak, it is very close. The colors are really gorgeous, who knew there were so many shades of gold!

In Winter Park for the weekend, and drove home on Berthoud Pass on Monday. This is not an area that has lots of aspens, but enough to see their colors.

I was noticing that there are some trees that are still green, and others in the same cluster that are already dropping their leaves. Made me wonder if this year's colors aren't as full-blown as other years. Will the green trees turn yellow or not? I'll check them again this Friday!

We just did the drive from Boulder (love love love Boulder)out Canyon Blvd on Highway 119 through Nederland and Black Hawk/Central City toward Golden and the Denver Airport. AMAZING! The canyons, the mountains, the colors were all beautiful. It takes about three hours but soooo worth it.
