It is spelled Manhattan.

What kind of markets?

Union Square farmer's market on Sat
Street Fairs all over the city on Sat and Sun.

Google street fairs in NYC and you should get a couple of listings.

This weekend for example there is a street fair on Broadway from 96th to 110th on Sunday from 11am to 6pm.

The weekend street fairs don;t really spcialize in collectibles - more like tschotkes - handicrafts or really low prices on basics or household goods and very inexpensive clothing - along with lots of food stands and loud, bad music.

There is a market on Columbus in the low 80's that has items of a little more substance - but not sure exactly what you're looking for.

I think the Columbus Ave. market is at 79th street? It's in a schoolyard - very obvious from the street (continues inside as well). Although I'm not a flea market person, I could see that someone looking for "collectibles" (which to me just means someone else's junk they wanted to clean out of their closet LOL!) would enjoy this market.
