Coeur D'Alene Idaho 3 days
 

driving from Vancouver Washington to Coeur D'Alene Idaho just because I have never been there and I hear it is lovely. NOW.....what to do for 2.5 days. Hope to rent a bike. I am not a world class bike rider but I enjoy riding around areas and seeing the outdoors. Where to rent a bike? Dinner? not too fancy but not Denny's or diner type food. Traveling with my sister and she is not one to spend a fortune on food but I like good food so suggestions would be helpful for under $25.00 pp. We already have a place to stay. Outdoor concerts? all suggestions are helpful...

When I was there we did a boat tour of the Lake which was fun, spotting bald eagles. We were there in winter, so the weather was pretty cold, but it made for fascinating clouds. I bet it would be even nicer in summer.

Can't help you with the bike rental, but do get out on the trails as they are amazing!

I'm less into Couerdalene than I am into Sandpoint, but I seem to remember there being a decent inexpensive Italian place in the resort mall. Cedars Floating Restaurant is a splurge but unique if you can afford it. Honestly, best bet may be pub food- that's my fall back in Idaho for good inexpensive dinners. (And I realize this isn't terribly helpful- but I've had a better time on a budget in Sandpoint than Couerdalene, where everything seems centered on the resort.
Other than biking: recommend browsing through downtown, swimming in the lake (if hot enough) or spending a day at Silverwood Theme Park. Or even spend an afternoon/evening in downtown Spokane.
