Cody, WY - Restaurant Recs

My husband and I will be in Cody for 3 nights in mid June for a conference and
need dinner recommendations. We've
been to Cody before, but it's been quite a while and don't remember what is available. We note from another poster that there are supposedly several new places to eat in town. Have done many trips to Wyoming, so don't need to do the typical "ranch barbeque" thing. Would like to try smaller, local places with good food. Please help!

Boonie:
Sorry I can't help with this- but I'll bump you back up anyway. Since you've been to Cody before, have you seen or stayed @ the AmericInn? We've got reservations for 3 nights in August & I'd like to hear from someone who has stayed there before.

This is a response to Toots' question about the AmericInn. I'm sorry but
I know nothing about this hotel. If our trip goes through as planned, I can take a look when I am there and let
you know what my reaction is.

Hi Toots,

Haven't been to that particular Americinn, but have stayed in one near Theodore Roosevelt Nat'l Park
(No. Dakota) and one in Minnesota. They're similar to a Comfort Inn or Best Western, basic but clean and sufficient, in my opinion. The one in N.Dakota had a fabulous con't bfst with made to order waffles.

BTW, our kids still say the
Mickey D's in Cody has the best french fries in the country! ;)

I had a great buffalo burger in a small cafe in Cody. It was quite tasty but perhaps things have changed since that was in 1967. ;)

I am not from Wyoming, but my in-laws have retired to Powell, near Cody. They suggest Stefan's, one of the best places for upscale food; Cassies, for the best beef; Maxwell's; and a new Italian restaurant Adriano's is supposed to be good. Let me know if I can pass along any other information.

We've stayed at the AmericInn in Cody. It was a few years ago but really nice as I remember. We stayed in a suite which was beautiful. I thought that it was definitely one of, if not the nicest hotel in Cody. There wasn't a huge choice though.
