I always like Coconuts on the Beach. Good quality sandwiches, burgers, other pub food...right on the beach! Mango Tree great for special occassion meal.

Another vote for Coconuts. We used to go there when we lived in Orlando years ago and were glad to see it still going strong when we visited nearly 2 years ago.

We like both Rusty's and Florida's Seafood. Here are their websites:

I've always liked Yen Yen for creative and untraditional Chineese food. They are located at:

2 N Atlantic Ave, Cocoa Beach
Phone: (321) 783-9512

In the Port Canaveral area, same neighborhood as Rusty's; Fishlips is a good spot.

Rusty's and Gills at the port. Sunset Grill on the river is a great spot both for view and food. Atlantic Grill on the pier has a great Sunday brunch. Marlins on the pier has very good pub/bar food. Pineda Crossing although it is a little outside of Cocoa Beach (near Patrick AFB) has great food, although pricey. Silvestros has great Italian, but expensive.

FYI, my only beef with Coconuts is that the crowd can vary pretty wildly depending on when you are there.

I second Grills at Port Canaveral. Enjoy their lunch special, or hang out at the tiki bar and watch the cruise ships depart before eating dinner.

For very informal on the water, we like Marlin's at the end of the Cocoa Beach Pier.

Slow-n-Low is our favorite BBQ in the area.

DS1 likes Mr. Cubano for casual Cuban, usually for lunch.

Agree with Orlando Vic about Yen-Yen's for creative Chinese food, but they are a bit pricey.

How long will you be in the area? Are you looking for a particular type of dining or cruisine?

We like Jack Baker's Lobster Shanty for casual and The Mango Tree for special occassion.
